I bought a a20 sound bar and the motherboard blew up as per Carl there tech who checked it out...he said it could not be repaired.. after 10 minutes of conversation he then told me it could be repaired..
he told me it would cost 400.00-to 254.09 to repair it he said it would be 12 weeks to fix it and it wasn't worth repairing..so he got the service manager to call me and he said they would not do anything and I would have to pay 600.90 to 350 for a new or demo ...why would I pay that much for a sound bar that don't have surge protector and can blow the motherboard kit the old 1 I had . . bottom line I did like Yamaha I had a receiver speakers and other Yamaha items...
I'm selling all my Yamaha products and won't ever buy there products again the do not give a *** about there customers... DON'T USE THEM YOU WILL BE SORRY.ddont don't

Verified Reviewer | Louisdale, Nova ScotiaI paid Yamaha representative company $4200 to rebuild a motor and I don’t believe they followed service technicians bulletins you can refer to my ad on Facebook in the Wolverine forum. Everyone tends
Pay yamaha, representing Dealer to rebuild my motor $4500. The motor failed 200 km after rebuild due to a part failure and the dealership says they will not cover it.
They represent you install your parts.
Can someone help me please with these people my issue isnt really with Yamaha. Its with the people that you let represent you and the guidelines they are should follow.
- Quality products
- Not enough accountability
Preferred solution: I would like to see the dealership that represents Yamaha be held accountable for poor workmanship
User's recommendation: Customer should be made aware that Yamaha dealerships do not guarantee their work, and that mechanics should follow strict guidelines

A bike being sold to my son by a dealer and didn't tell us the history of the bike or nothing! I am Flippin pissed by having a bike only 8 hours and motor blew up, not a happy customer or person rate now.
When a dealership has a bike that they ran the *** out of and then sell it to a God damn kid who has a loan of 8000.00 God damn dollars to buy something that the dealer said oh don't ever worry about this bike bud that will last you a very long time *** story! And didn't say anything about no warranty, it was all a *** story to get my son's money, my son borred the money for this bike, and he works very hard for a 17 year old kid this bike meant the world to him he shined it every time before a ride and every time after the ride, we thought buying this bike through the dealer was the best way to go thinking the dealers was the true people, we were sadly Flippin mistaken! I want something done about this for my son, he does not deserve this! I want either all of our money back and we take bike back to this worthless *** which I don't know how he sleeps at night!
Or we want a new motor for it one or the other, if you guys are any company at all and have any feelings at all then something will be done about thus asap and far as this dealership goes his *** should be getting shut down when he takes bikes and does this with them! Your bikes at that YAMAHA YOUR NAME BRAND,SHOULD NOT BE SOLD TO ANYONE AFTER THEY RUN THEM LIKE THAT, SPECIALY A KID WHO DOESNT KNOW ANY BETTER.
I AM SADLY SORRY ABOUT THIS MESSAGE THAT I HAD TO WRITE TODAY. BUT THERE IS NO WAY IAM LETTTING THIS GO I HAVE 7 KIDS AND PLAN ON BUY A COUPLE OF THE SMALLER YAMAHAS FOR MY KIDS BUT SURE WONT BE A THIS DEALERSHIP

Verified Reviewer | Essex, OntarioFuel pump alert
I own a 2019 yamaha X4 when i purchased it an alert came up for a fuel pump issue the dealership told me it was not a recall but if it went in the field they would fix it. I have a cottage in houghton lake michigan and the feul pump went on the trail we dragged it to lake st Hellen power sports in michigan an authorized yamaha dealer.
I showed them the alert and the work was done but when i picked it up they told me Yamaha would not pay they do not allow USA dealerships to work on Canadian machines, stupidist thing I ever heard.
I recieved a bill for 660.00 us dollars that would have been covered in canada. We have thousands of canadians in who ride and have cottages in Michiagan let alone new york, ohio and on and on i know that they are not aware of Yamaha policies let alone the snowmobilers. I had a polaris RZR before and warranty work was done on it for a heat shield in Houghton Lake.
I would like an answer from yamaha for its ridiculous policy that robbed me of 900 canadian dollars for a fuel pump that had i known was not covered in the usa would brought it home to do the work in canada which is stupid, or bought an aftermarket fuel pump for 200 and done it in my garage.l wait for a reply before I use the atv & snowmobliers socils media site in michigan to get the word started

Verified ReviewerMissleading warranty on drive belts
Yamaha advertises a 10 year warranty on their drive belts. Recently the belt on my 2019 X2 Wolverine broke.
I went to my local dealer to have them replace the ruined belt, knowing about the warranty. The dealership advised me that there was nothing wrong with the clutch system, it was a defective belt. This was submitted to Yamaha. Their response was there was never any preventative maintenance done on clutch.
The owner's Manuel does not say anything about this type of maintenance. Also, it's a three-hour job just to get at the clutch, this would have to be done at a dealership at 120.00 p/h. Not reasonable expectations. Well done, Yamaha, just another example of hollow promises from big companies.
Anything for the sale.
T.A. Douthwright.

Lack of customer service
I bought a product that did not come with required hardware to install and was told to return everything after waiting for product delivery, customer support is terrible and they take days to reply to emails, I dont recommend buying anything from Yamaha online its been a terrible experience
User's recommendation: Stay away , do not order online from Yamaha Canada

Nobody there and their email form cannot be completed unless I put a proper hyphen between my Tel number and area code but they’re system has numbers and no hyphen available to use . Very upsetting
I know they are not there Sat but but I wish to leave a message for them to respond to Monday morning but the message Center will not accept my email unless I supply my cell number and their system to input the cell number must have a hyphen between the area code but the system they have .. has no hyphen available and so it will not accept my email message .
This is just plain dumb . I will call them Monday to discuss . My rear shock *** out in my 2008 Venture and I cannot find a replacement anywhere in Canada . After hours and hours of looking this is a common fault of that shock and comments say that sometimes Yamaha will replace the shock no charge .
I can install myself and as Im 69 and retired money is tight . I cannot even find a used one in Canada and a new one is way out of my price bracket . I love the bike but if I cannot fix it then I will have to sell and go a different direction . This is my 2 nd Venture but if I cant afford it then I will try a different brand .
Dam .. and I love the bike .
Im in the CMC a the biggest Motorcycle club in Canada . I dont want to post negative info about Yamaha but Dam Im mad !
User's recommendation: Try to contact them first before complaining

"No warranty Yamaha "
As I keep digging into this I am passing info incase your next.
Apparently Yamaha has a class action lawsuit in the USA at the present.
The aluminum blocks have been popping like corks the blocks are fractureing internal most can only be detected by pressure testing. Yamaha tried pinning this on bad winterizing then said water intake all a bunch of *** to get out of an engines brand new warranty also because they have no parts forcing you to pay for a new engine as I just did. Week #4 and still not a return phone call. I am not turning this into a merc or Yamaha thing. This is just *** poor customer service at its worst. I bought a new engine and now I bought another one to be able to fish this year. I have the old engine in on a tear down to further my warranty denied so I can go after Yamaha and find out how to join the class action law suits stay away
Preferred solution: A new engine
